I’m Sara — a lifelong Yooper, born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and proud to be leading the charge on the Yooper Bowl.

I’ve spent the past 25+ years working in the nonprofit world, leading national efforts focused on education policy, workforce development, and community advocacy. Most recently, I’ve directed All4Ed’s Future Ready Schools® initiative bringing together educators, policymakers, and community leaders to improve outcomes for students across the country.

But no matter where my work has taken me, the UP has always been home in my heart. After raising my two amazing kids in Maryland — both of whom went on to attend Michigan State (Go Green!) — I’ve made my way back to the place that shaped me. I believe in the power of community, tradition, and a good rivalry to bring people together. 

This isn’t just a couple of football games — it’s a celebration of who we are and a chance to give back to the region we love. I’m honored to help bring it to life.
